One School, One Book, One Month
Several years ago Dublin city started the ‘one book, one city’ initiative whereby everyone in the city was encouraged to read the same book in the same month. We in CBC thought that was a great idea and were inspired to do the same ourselves.
So, this January we are launching the One School, One Book, One Month project. We are hoping as many people as possible in the CBC community will read Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha by Roddy Doyle. It’s the perfect way to take advantage of all those Christmas book tokens!
To help us along the way, the Wise Owl book shop in Dun Laoghaire will give you a 10% discount when you buy Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha from them. Dubray Books will give 10% of the cost of all books bought by the CBC community in their shop to our librarian to re-stock the school’s library.
So from first year to sixth year, from parents to past pupils, we’re hoping to see everyone reading Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha this January.
